My Personal SoulDrama

It felt great to be done with the TV pilot episodes and back in the radio booth saddle, with the trustworthy Robert Eibach manning the controls, and this week's special guest and friend Connie Miller, founder of SoulDrama and author of FEED THE EGO STARVE THE SOUL on the phone.

You see, I had to have Connie back after our last interview was cut short over a mix up about Daylight Savings time in Hawaii which, I learned the hard way, does not do!

As Connie delved deep into the personal issues we keep rehashing in relationship after relationship by subconsciously seeking out mates that push all our old buttons from our parents, a bell went off about my last failed love affair.

A few months back I fell head over heels for a woman who I thought was the One. But as it turned out she was all business and was either unable or unwilling to show me the kind of affection, respect and attention I crave.

Attention and affection I've yet to ever truly get, or at least feel on my end, from my father. Which, as Connie explained on the radio show, was exactly why the One's cold fish attitude was exactly what attracted me to her!

Don't get me wrong, I love my dad, love him for the great man he is. But there's always been a void there, a void I sought to fill in the past with women, drugs and booze. In other words, something on the outside.

I snapped myself back to the moment in my familiar radio booth at Del Oro, grateful for the wisdom Connie was sharing with me and my audience. The Power of Positive Thinking!

I woke up early on show day to work on the script when I got a call. Our scheduled guest was canceling as there was family emergency and he needed to fly to Ireland. I wished him well and stated to pace the hallway giving myself a positive attitude pep talk:

"The universe will support the show. We help families overcome addiction. Something good will come of this adversity..."

My pep talk was interrupted by my cell phone, it was my canceling guest. He had found a replacement the amazing Catie Norris!!!

Catie Norris, co-host of the 5th Annual New World Fair (May 22nd – May 23rd Pasadena CA), celebrity author of The Truth about Calcium, and “Magnetic Miracles: Your Guide the Use of Magnetics for Radiant Health!” and Creator & Producer of "The Cures in the Kitchen" - A show highlighting Natural Answers for Healthy Living! On top of all this Catie runs a hit website EnergyEssentials.com.

As usual the talented director Robert Eibach of Del Oro Music did an amazing job running the Tri- production we've been experimenting with The Quick Fix as a TV Show pilot, Live Webcam broadcast and the radio show all at the same time. The man is a genius.

And you can hear Robert genius bringing you Catie's touching story of how magnetic therapy and healthy eating saved her life and her son's!

And please pay special attention to Catie's important warnings about getting the right kind of calcium into your life.

It was another exciting week for The Quick Fix With Bradley Quick.

The help we are getting from Del Oro Music and BuzzBroz to support the mission of getting the word out about our charity that helps families overcome the ravages of addiction is so incredible.

Please help us keep bringing you cool, healing and helpful entertainment by donating to The Cool Change Foundation today! Your kind help is 100% tax deductible.

BEHIND THE SCENES FUN

The photo below is from a lighthearted moment on the set of The Quick Fix with Director Robert Eibach of Del Oro Music, taken by Ken Sheetz of BuzzBroz.

Robert and I have a running creative battle going over whether I should be using sheets of paper or index cards for my interview notes. I see Sean Hannity works in my style and I'm more comfortable reading off a page than the little index cards Sean wants me to use.

Sometimes it's nice to be more than just the host, as the producer I get to decide what works best to make life easier for me:) Thanks for understanding Robert!

JAMES HYMAN THIS WEEK'S RADIO GUEST ON THE QUICK FIX

This week I interview James Hyman about his amazing Emotional Release therapy, and the link to the radio interview with James where he did some on the air therapy with me goes live tomorrow. Click to listen to James on our show!

And in few weeks we'll be bringing you clips via our hit YouTube channel of James doing a full emotional release session on me where James will tune up my chakras!

BuzzBroz grabbed this cool picture and audio of the talented flute player, Mr. Hyman, doing an impromptu performance after the show.

Let's Watch Radio

We began experimenting a few weeks ago with BuzzBroz filming The Quick Fix radio show for YouTube for something Ken Sheetz, my brother in SMM buzz, pitched me he calls "Let's Watch Radio. So far on Cool Change Foundation's YouTube our audience has been exciting, with over 75,000 views in less than 30 days!

Del Oro Music
's David Longoria got so excited that he gave us his green screen set and a crew to shoot a pilot in his studio, where I produce the weekly radio show for our charity THE COOL CHANGE FOUNDATION. A charity dedicated to helping families overcome the ravages of substance abuse .

We're all still working out the bugs of how to produce a radio show that will work as a TV pilot that also does not preclude the great success we are having on YouTube.

My thanks to David, his people and his main man Robert Eibach for directing Del Oro's experimental pilot and for all it taught us. And a special thanks to Ken Sheetz of BuzzBroz who edited the pilot DV material into 3 great HD videos, with some fancy footwork, for our hit Cool Change YouTube Channel.

Dr. Sarah Larsen really gave some of the best health tips in all the years and 700 hours I've been doing The Quick Fix show, now on a computer screen near you and perhaps soon coming to TV.

This week we filmed the radio show again where renowned Psycho-Drama therapist Jean Campbell is my guest. Jean explains how the therapy works and its orgins.

Listen to Jean now on the The Quick Fix now! Video to come next week!

Dr. Sarah Larsen

I make it my mission on my weekly radio show THE QUICK FIX, which benefits The Cool Change Foundation, to give to my listeners and viewers on YouTube, and soon perhaps on TV (more on that later) information they can apply to improve their lives.

This weeks guest Dr. Sarah Larsen was filled with helpful and practical information for my listeners.

Dr. Sarah Larsen is a Spiritual Counselor, Intuitive Healer and Medical Doctor. Her education as a healer began with her grandmother in the villages of the Indian sub-continent.

She received a degree as Medical Doctor from Medical University of the Americas. She trained and heals with energy medicine in Los Angeles and has worked in hospitals, clinics and centers in India, Trinidad and Tobago, Washington D.C., Georgia and Louisiana.

Her approach to hand analysis and healing has been described as merging ancient wisdom and modern medicine for optimal health.

Topics Sarah and I discussed included: How to harness the power of your instinct, develop your intuition, and to improve every aspect of your life. The seven steps to Intuitive Development. Unlocking your intuition. Intuition and learning to express our true purpos by really getting in touch with our own 6th sense. Learning what we truly want in life. Learning who we truly are.

Ken Sheetz of BuzzBroz filmed this behind the scene clip as Del Oro Music & Filmworks video taped the show for the first time.

SOULDRAMA

Alhoa! I've been away from The Quick Fix radio show for 2 weeks while I attended Connie Miller's SOULDRAMA in Hawaii.

So it was only fitting that my first show back feature great author and founder of SOULDRAMA herself, Connie Miller. Connie and I also got a chance to discuss her new book STARVE THE EGO FEED THE SOUL.

(Thanks to my pals at BuzzBroz for filming the radio show.)

Listen to the entire radio interview with Connie.

MY SOULDRAMA

I lost 5 siblings to cystic fibrosis by the time I was 8 years-old, and I lost my last sibling when I was 19 to a car crash. I was carrying so much misplaced guilt over their deaths that I can remember when President Kennedy was shot I felt somehow responsible and turned myself into the principal's office.

I've worked hard in my 23 years of being clean and sober to deal with the early trauma in my life. But of course dealing with the hole losing 6 brothers and sisters leaves in your heart is no easy task.

So when I heard Connie's amazing premise, that we develop our issues in a group and that in her group SOULDRAMA we can work them out far faster, it all rang true.

The SOULDRAMA group in Hawaii was filled with wonderful people from all over the world. By the time came to act out my life-long wish to say good-bye to my lost siblings, something I never had the chance to do in real life, the SOULDRAMA group was like my second family.

I felt safe and ready to share. And I still can't get over how real it all felt talking to my siblings, talking for them myself. I at last got to tell my lost sibs how much I loved them, missed them all.

A rainbow appeared as my SOULDRAMA ended as I had a vision of all my brothers and sisters walking into the Hawaiian surf and into the rainbow, waving farewell to me. I had at last let them go. All six of them. A tender Aloha.

As they faded into surf I tried not to cry, being the macho guy I am, but in the end I relented and welcomed the tears of healing.

Thanks, Connie.

Eliminate Fear and Anxiety

A couple of years ago, at famed musician and producer David Longoria's (pictured left) Del Oro Music's studios in Studio City, California, where we produce our weekly radio show, #1 in the US for self-discovery talk with 300,000 listeners a month on BradleyQuick.com, I recorded a series of POSITIVE CHAT POWER audio CDs that were directed by Robert Eibach (pictured below). The Postive Chat Power series deal with a wide range of issues to help people make a cool change in their mental well being.

Both of the audio CDs are available on our BradleyQuick.com website for only $9.95 each. Proceeds benefit The Cool Change Foundation, our charity that helps families ravaged by the scourge of substance abuse.

Last week, my pal and social media marketing guru Ken Sheetz, president of BuzzBroz, had an idea to turn these audio CDs into videos. Ken is a great director who produced a PBS special that aired as the lead into the 2000 presidential debates, a hit political show for the 2008 elections that is the #1 DVD for the topic of kids and politics on Amazon called Kids Talk Politics. The series has been raved about in The LA Time, Reuters and Education Magazine and continues to cover politics on YouTube/KidsTalkPolitics where Ken's kid discoveries are approaching half a million viewers.

So I was thrilled Ken wanted to turn these audio CDs into videos to help our charity generate added revenue using his highly acclaimed documentary filmmaker skills.

Our long term plan is to make these videos into a video Positive Power Chat series to be sold on Amazon in the coming weeks!

But you don't have to wait for the DVD to see them. Here, premiering on YouTube/CoolChangeFoundation , is the first of the series, a 25 minute meditation called "Eliminate Fear & Anxiety."

Enjoy thanks to the busy bees at BuzzBroz, who by the way have in less than 30 days time helped us get over 50,000 views of our videos and several invites from the great folks at YouTube (thanks Olivia of YouTube for clearing up some tech issues we had!) to place Google ads that generate revenue that benefits our charity!

So by watching this video and sending this blog to your friends and family you be helping other families via The Cool Change Foundation's mission to help kids by helping their parents conquer substance abuse.

What could be a cooler way to change the world for the better?
