arrived in LA to do my show from Australia. She was there presenting at a Psychology Conference in Sydney. I was not only fortunate enough to spend a few days with her and have her on the show but also she inspired me to take her to the Getty Museum. Being an Art Therapist she couldn't visit LA without visiting the Getty. Funny thing, I've been in LA since the Getty was built and have never made it there till now, lol. Punished for Purpose and a Salute to Milo

This weeks show featured Laurie Burns author of
"Punished for Purpose"

Her life story is one of abuse, hardship and inspiration -- former prostitute and heroin addict who turned her experience into a benefit for the lost children of our society. As a result of that experience and transformation she’s founded The Teen Project, which deals with teen counseling, education, health, housing and more.

Salute to Milo
My best friend of 20 years, Milo the cat, died Friday the 9th. I had to put him down, one of the toughest things I've ever had to do. He will be missed and will always hold a place in my heart. Thank you Milo for all the years of unconditional love!

Our Independence Day the 4th of July

We were among the celebrants at Dr. Howard Samuels amazing recovery center"The Hills" (formerly Wonderland) first annual 4th of July bash, located high in the Hollywood hills above Mulholland.

There was a spectacular view of the Fireworks, great food, live music, dancing, valet parking and tons of us crazy people that I hadn't seen in years.

We all had a great time! Proof positive that a great party is about the people not the booze and drugs!

Malik Pointer miraculously had a 2 year sober birthday and sang with his super funky band Macdracula, and we also heard the infamous F.O.C.K.R.s. It was fun for all!
